Are they a new form of bot?

Playing among themselves?

Doing it just to irritate me?

Apparently, able2know is Hindi for hotels.com.

@margo,
I never SEE these things!

Do I inhabit a different A2k from everyone else?

@dlowan,
You must. They're everywhere. I wish I could not see them.

@Roberta,
on the New Posts page there are two options at the top, Filter Noise & All Topics, i'm guessing the folks who opt for Filter Noise don't see a lot of the spam posts

i for one could not live like that, i love mocking the spammers

@djjd62,
I don't have filter noise on. It's odd.

It's confusing. Not sure how you would miss a few dozen on a variation of these threads:

@tsarstepan,
I just do. Actually, I don't think the new posts function is working properly for me. I miss lots of threads.

There was a thread recently where the OP was obviously from India but her question was couched in very general terms. Later, when she had gotten a slew of answers that were more Euro- or USA- oriented, she expressed surprise. Said she had assumed everyone on this site was from India. We must be really big and popular down there.
