c.i.:

Is your name the Mexican breakfast dish of nopalitos(cactus) with eggs in a tortilla? I have been wanting to ask you that for a very long time? I used to live in San Antonio...a friend used to bring me something called a cicerone, or at least that is how I thought it was spelled!

Hi All, I'm surprised at you, Vietnamnurse, that with your activity on Abuzz, you still don't know how I happened to pick out my moniker. I think I've repeated that story at least a half dozen times on Abuzz, but I guess I'm gonna have to break down and do it here on A2K.

You see, Vietnamnurse, I do travel quite extensively. As of my last count, I've traveled to seventy five countries. My wife continues to bug me about becoming a tour guide, but I keep telling her that tour guides "work too hard." I'm not the kind of person with much patience, nor somebody that likes to travel with fifty people in one group. I love my "independence" and "freedom." Well, when I first became a member of Abuzz, I used the moniker "takeo22b." Then, somebody had the gall to come up with their moniker, "kateo22." I said, "UGH!" No way am I going to be confused with another Abuzzard. So I changed my name to "cicerone imposter." In Italian, "cicerone" means a tour guide of historical places. Since I am not a tour guide, therefore "imposter." Okay, guys, you can now stop your applause. Wink c.i.
