I want to hear more about the Irish in Scottish kilts.

Now I know that our ancestors fled from Scotland to Ireland after Culloden, and hopefully they were wearing what they would, which I 'magine were kilts. They stayed in Ireland just long enough to catch their breaths, then continued on to America.

Are you saying your ancestors, bless them all, were actually Scottish???

Of my eight great-grandparents, one was a Scot--Jennie Monroe. No, what i refer to is that the ancient Goidelic Kelts in the British Isles all wore the same garb--i used the word "kilt" because literate people would then know to what i referred.

By the by, Debacle, i happen to like cold weather, an' sure Lovey would attest that it would bother me not in the least to wear a kilt in any weather. You'd probably freak out if you saw me standing out on her back stoop in the pre-dawn hours, wearing only a pair of levis, as i smoke one of my nasty cigarettes . . .

Bunny, you'll need the help of at least Willy and Nilly--likely several others as well, if you think to get a frock on me . . .

Oh yeah, there is my dentist, Phil McAvity, but I've never seen him in a kilt.

Lil k - if you speak of the photo, 'tis Misti's - but Craven pointed it out to me, and I have been waiting for that special moment to use it - it is deserving of publicity, I think! What a shot!

there is lawyers and there is lawyers

the ones we'll be spending time with is that other type of lawyer

the fun, thoughtful, occasionally deliberately provoking type

we like them
