It's gotten quiet here, or I'm out of the loop. Fiscal Cliff, DeMint quitting. No mention?

I'm glad DeMint quit. I think it's interesting that the bastion of conservative thinking just up and quits his job as representative for half a state for another job that pays 6 times more. Is that responsibility? I'm not complaining. He is an embarassement to South Carolina. I'm not alone in that opinion, but maybe in the minority here in this state.

I'm thinking that he couldn't bring himself to compromise enough to work out a solution to the budget problems. Hopefully he's just the first of the tea party idealogs to leave.
