what would be a better way of saying...

the overall objective of the studies conducted as previously stated were used to try and solve the question which is again; does watching violence on tv cause adolescents to become more aggressive or are adolescents who are more aggressive simply more likely to enjoy violence on tv?

i already stated this once and i know i hate how "as previously stated" and "which is again" sound i know their are different phrases but i sadly just can't think of any

You don't need to add all these extra words that just take up space and create a passive voice for your writing.
