I recently broke my c2, its healed and im in a neck collar until my neck strengthens enough to hold my head. Recently i have been waking up with major tooth pains. I think i may b grinding my teeth in my sleep, ut not sure. Is this normal with wear of a neck collar? Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?

Personal and medical experience greatly appreciated

@Caca55mwri,
I've never worn a cervical collar so I can't help you there, but I am a teeth grinder from way back. It may be that the angles of your lower jaw, your neck, etc. are all kind of off and that's affecting things. Plus I'd guess that there's stress accompanying all of this - can't be fun to wear the collar all the time. Does your doctor or dentist have any ideas re this?
