Where is Calamity Jane?

I couldn't find the lost and misplaced thread so I'm asking here.

I can't remember the last time I saw her here. Does anyone know where she went or if things are okay in her life?

I miss her.

I really just wanted to know if she's okay. I'll take you're "few months ago" as a sign that she's okay, just.... busy.

I hope she comes back when she's not so busy.

I like her a lot too.

It seems like a lot of the women are disappearing or are just occasional visitors anymore -- Swimpy, Squinney, CJane, FreeDuck, ... the list goes on.

I don't think that people are fleeing (for the most part). They've just found something that suits their needs/interests better.

After a lot of years, I think that is the easy answer.
I'm not against facebook, I'm personally chary of it and figure I'm in the minority, but will join one of these days.

I don't care if others like Facebook better.. They spend years here and just leave one day? Chickenshits. Just say so if you don't like it, with perhaps a good bye.

what I see is people gradually spending more and more time there and less and less time here

littlek, dasha, reyn and shewolfnm are examples that spring to mind for that pattern

sometimes I think they don't realize they're not at A2k at all anymore because we still see each other's postings and photos there

other people return here and pretty much abandon their FB accounts over time - Frank Apisa and verbivore fall into that camp
