Error
You have just caused an error that took the life of one of the hardest working hamsters. But the good news is that we wrote down the error and will give it to our overlords so that they can figure out how to make it not happen again. Go in peace friend, we must now pour out some liquor for our fallen comrade. We miss you homeslice!

@dalehileman,
That's what happens when you make an error.

You kill a hamster.

@Joe Nation,
But, but, why don't they tell you what it was, so you can avert in future

@dalehileman,
MURDERER!

It has happened to others though, including myself.

Rest in peace Homeslice. Lo these many months later you are still missed. Sad

Hey wait a minute...my hamster was named Homeslice. Apparently either they all have the same name or I didn't kill Homeslice, but you did dale which means there will never be any instant scrolling for you.

It's a generic error message (basted in a sense of humor) used for many errors that happen here at a2k. Only you know exactly what you were doing prior to receiving the error message.

@dalehileman,
ACK....Just now I clicked reply on a post by Plaindome, and another hamster bit the dust along that happy habitrail in the sky. Honest ! I hit reply once, and up jumped message of hamster death. When I clicked back to post, I saw my reply double-posted. Able to delete duplicate, but...Honest! I hit reply once. ONCE! ONCE! There have been several recent occasions of hamster "bossiness"...."You must wait 8 seconds before posting again so we (Note the royal we.) can know you're not a spammer." This message popped up before I'd posted even ONCE, NOT ONCE! At moments like these I wished I'd had a spanner, to hit the little varmint upside his round furry head. And I'm a member of PETA.

@nextone,
Error message and another dead hamster when I replied above. What is going on here? About to hit reply with no homicidal intent....

@nextone,
I never thought of you to be cruel to hamsters, but alas, you have revealed yourself to the masses. I shall pray for you!

@tsarstepan,
Humor. The man just wasted a hamster, and you think it's funny?

@nextone,
Yeah, tonight I tried to post a reply and was told I couldn't post till more time elapsed since my last post. Geez, I'd been away from the computer for over a day and a half. How long's a feller gotta wait?

Oh, and after the silly thing counted down five seconds and I had permission to post, it informed me of a duplicate post. Now that I think on it, maybe we should whack a few more. There is obviously not enough work to keep the existing staff adequately occupied.

@nextone,
Thank you Next, Rog, I had wondered whether I was its only victim

But Admin , if you're listening, many a2k editing features, eg My Topics, My Posts, etc, are most excellent; while we appreciate your liberality compared to other such Internet forums where I for one would have been summarily banned long before now. However the hamster pales compared with the lack of scrollbar

@roger,
Some of these sound like a real glitch. Have any of you reported it through Contact Us?

@ossobuco,
Nah. I just wait till I'm allowed to post, and post - sometimes to find I already have.

I solicited for a name change a year or more ago, and got nothing back but an auto response that it had been received.

Uh-oh! Homeslice was buried in the Micmac burial ground beyond the Pet Sematary. Sad

He came back ...
