OK, Granted, the kid in this story is no angel. But come on, trying to slap felony charges on him for spitting on a police car is just another example of abuse of power from our government.
Here's the story
Not a felony. Definately disrespectful. . .but a felony? Nah. . .
Make him clean the cop cars for a couple of weekends, I say. That's punishment enough.
Then again, maybe you wouldn't want him so close to them where he could damage them.
I agree, they did make him clean the cop car though and they decided that wasn't enough. So they tried to slap felony charges on him to teach him a lesson. Now this kid needs to do time because he's obviously a criminal for the other things that he's done, but making an issue out of him spitting on the cop car? Don't criminals spit on cop cars all the time? What's new about this? The court made the right decision. Speaking of frivolous lawsuits, frivolous criminal charges should be fined as well. They probably tie up the courts more than the law suits.
Someone has too much time on there hands.
Hey, somebody invite Lab Rat. Not enough rodents in this discussion
