In May? My sister and I are thinking about finally going to NYC in May! If we do it, it would have to be the last part of the month. I'll be teaching until about the 20th.
We might miss each other but I would so love to see you again, Eva. If at all possible, I will arrange it so we can hook up again. Let's talk when your plans are firm. I can always stay longer And I will treat you to the Shake Shack ha ha

My parents are coming in May! Would it be premature to introduce you to them? I'm inclined to think not, but we're not even dating yet.
My friend Broph lives in Mansquan NJ, a Jersey Shore town, and I hadn't
heard from him since the storm. Every call I made went straight to his
voice mail. This morning I got an email from our mutual friend Bob. Bob
got through to him and Broph is OK. No power, but he's got a gas fireplace
so he's OK for heat. I'm going to call him later and read him the riot act
for not evacuating. Damn pig-headed Mick.
This is starting to look like a Major May Gathering. (TradeMark Pending)
Sometime after the 20th and before Thomas' parents leave.
I've met Thomas' parents.
You talk about some major intellectual firepower, one is an organic chemist and the other is an inorganic chemist. Both really nice people, very little wonder why both Thomas and his sister are so bright and charming.
As soon as I buy next year's calendar, I am penciling in the Major May Gathering.

Well, some of the ladies who have expressed an interest feel that May 15 - 22 works best for them, so that's what I'm aiming for. Any idea when Thomas' folks are leaving? I will be flying out on the 22nd but could stay a little longer.
You guys are giving me even more reasons to think about this seriously!
My sister and brother-in-law are taking early retirement in January and lining up travel plans. She and I have talked about going to NYC together for years. It might finally be possible now! I will keep my fingers crossed...
Well, even if there were, I'd never convince certain people.

My folks called last night; a neighbor of theirs on LI says there's power on an adjacent street. So, hopefully, when they return on Tuesday to vote, there will be electrical stuff.
