How Did You React To The In Your Face Debates?

Some aggression is good. But I would rather see a good old conservative debate where they each get a six gun go to each end of the podium, and well you know.

I understood but was dismayed by Obama's passivity in the first debate.

So when he started looking Romney in the eye and saying "That's not true," I liked it a lot.

I didn't like the interrupting as much, but I also understood that the fact that he was trying to be calm and statesmanlike in the first debate while Romney ran roughshod over the moderator helped get things off to a bad start. There didn't seem to be many options to both get equal time and not interrupt.

Later he became more comfortable with it and I think interrupted a bit too much in the last debate, when Romney was trying for the statesman thing and so it looked bad by comparison. (Though Romney did still interrupt, just much less than in the first two debates.)

Second debate was just about right.

Really disgusted.

Wasn't surprised about Sociopath Romney's character in the second or first debate, but, I never want to see my president behave like this again. I'm sure it won't be the last time seeing as most of the nation seems to tune in to the debates for entertainment like they would boxing bout.

No but his demeanor is undoubtedly creepy.

Obama is both shifty and creepy.

Considering that he is supported by approx half of American voters, there is great doubt around your silly contention.

Anyways...

The reason I don't think he is really a sociopath is because Romney certainly has an agreeable air about him when he's comfortable, however, under tension or perceived pressure that air turns awkward(control issues). This is when those creepy smiles start happening, especially when he was getting out of hand during the debates and he knew it. Mind you I saw Obama doing this as well but Romney's demeanor yells out "&%^&! I'M CREEPIN' OUT!" louder than Obama.

A sociopath normally doesn't behave that way, Mitt Romney is just a control freak.

In comparison to what I'm used to in Canadian debates, all three of the debates were tame. Too much focus on creating cutesy soundbites from both debaters.

They'd both get steam-rolled in political debates in most Western countries. Julia Gillard alone could mop the floor with them.
