Now, if you want an accurate impression of what actually happened tonight you hardly need to tune into FOX, but you should avoid MSNBC

What you should do is wait until tomorrow and Wednesday.

It's said that about 70 million Americans tuned in for this debate.
Hopefully not all of them were members of the dumbmasses.

@H2O MAN,
They weren't.

The large segment that would have declared an Obama victory if the president leaned over and vomited on Romney's pants don't matter.

MSNBC has called the election for Obama so all of you undecided voters
and procrastinators can freely vote for Romney because it won't matter.

Boy, you guys are pretty funny tonight.

Serious question, Finn - have you been drinking and blogging again? You know that doesn't go well.

Romney didn't enter this debate with his solid supporters, his solid opponents, or the pundits in mind.

In the first debate he obviously convinced the undecided that he was up to the job relative to domestic issues.

In this debate he clearly convinced the undecided that he is up to the job relative to foreign issues,

Obama was nipping at his heels like a Pomeranian.

I got a split decision.

Obama looked more serious during the debate, but he also interrupted more and had many petty jabs. He scored on several points including Middle East and Israel.

Romney needed to alter his smile just a bit once in awhile. He came off a bit robotic when Obama was talking. Some sort of expression would have been nice. Romney scored some several points on China and the Economy.

Obama failed to answer one question at all, I think that was bad.

Overall, I'd call it a tie. I doubt any minds are/were changed by this debate.

@McGentrix,
If one assesses the debate on the basis of debating standards, Obama clearly lost as he was was overwhelmingly responding to Romney comments.

Few people, however judge these debates by such standards.

A tie for Romney (although I disagree with that rating) is still a win.

@Finn dAbuzz,
to be fair, finny, in your book a loss would be a win.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I am not overly familiar with debate standards. I like Romney and I tend to lean more towards agreeing with him, but I wanted to look at tonight's debate objectively. Both had highs and lows. I think Obama tended to be the aggressor and not necessarily to his advantage tonight.

Romney played the laid back role a bit too strenuously.

@McGentrix,

Romney was cool, calm and collected... qualities you want in a leader.

Obama was a defensive, aggressive, condescending and arrogant jerk... qualities not becoming a leader.

@McGentrix,
So did I.

The Obama Campaign has tried to portray Romney as a war monger (a ridiculous notion but sometimes this **** works) and Romney crushed that attempt.

Romney didn't have to win on foreign policy, he only had to not lose. Every effort he made to underscore national strategy as dependent upon economic strength, he won.

If you read the transcript of this debate you will find that Romney had quite a few excellent comments that might have made more of an impression on the fringes if he delivered them with passion and or anger, but he was smart not to do so.

@H2O MAN,
Obama won by a mile. Mittens was a sweaty, stammering mess, who got called on his bullshit repeatedly. Romney looked like an amateur tonight, and showed he is not presidential material.
Mitt the twit.
