I have a new phone off a friend but whenever I try to send a text I start to type into someone's name in the 'to' box and it still comes up with people's numbers who I've deleted and also it says emails ive recently iMessaged does anyone know how to delete this please?

Were you the one to tag this thread iPhone? If not then what kind of phone do you have? Each cell phone (and OS/phone type) will have different texting protocols for deletion due to their different user interfaces.
And if its an iPhone, what variant do you have?

Yeah I was and its an iPhone 4.
