How to get crosscut

By chance does your BB Code Editor provide a means for crosscut, that is drawing a line through a letter or word

@dalehileman,
It's not something that's actually allowed here given our forum's coding.
We have bold, italics, and underlined. Do we really need crosscut? This isn't a place for editing legal or academic draft papers to that extent.

You have to enter the tags manually, but it works.
Code:[strike][/strike]

@dalehileman,
Cross-cutting is an editing technique most often used in films to establish action occurring at the same time in two different locations. In a cross-cut, the camera will cut away from one action to another action, which can suggest the simultaneity of these two actions but this is not always the case.

I have no ide how to do it with BBC code...

@DrewDad,
How did you find that? Standard BB code uses [s][/s] and that doesn't work here.

@DrewDad,
Does this work?

Yup, you're right it does; however, for what use would it serve on A2K? I can nothing worthwhile.

BTW: Isn't this called over-strike?

To the contrary Tsar I encountered just yesterday an a2k posting using crossout so I know it can be done

You might be right that our BB Code Ed. doesn't include the provision. However our PC operating system retains certain editing rights even in a forum posting, for instance cap-lc etc and the crosscut might be an instance of such application

Don't know about yourself but I do

To the contrary I have encountered dozens of instances hereabout in which it might provide most valuable. For example frequently a participant requests help in editing where the crosscut would be most helpful in flagging unnecessary words

@dalehileman,
Please read my previous post:

The term is called overstrike.
Cross-cut is a term in film-editing or wood cutting.

@DrewDad,
Aha! Drew I knew it could be done, thanks

To save the trouble of laboriously typing out "[fstrike] and [f/strike]"", where is this link to be found

Rock forgive me most deplorably but tit's a screwy a2k editing function, meant as "crossout"

I just hate those editing provisions that "correct" the spelling of a word without even asking or for God sake, even flagging it

Me too also

However I can't help speculating that the "[fstrike] and [f/strike]" link can be had through Mac

If not, and Mac if you're listening, it ought to be

Note to a2k admin: This link is needed as part of the BB Code
At least by me

I don't recall where I first saw it; I only know of it because I've seen someone else use it.
