Hello Friends,
I am currently taking a pre-nursing program but I do not think I am going to get into the RN. I was wondering if a dental hygienist would be a good career as a second choice? Or RPN, paramedic, massage therapist?
I am looking to work decent hours and make a pretty good living and work in the health field. OR any other good ideas for career in the health field?
Thanks In Advance.
Simon Joseph
@Simon Joseph,
Probably not. A spammal hygieniest would make an even better career choice I believe.

I don't know what "spammal" means. I do know that dental hygienist are having their hours cut where I live.

Nah. You're on your feet all day.
@DrewDad,
They also spend their days slightly bent over, making precise, strong movements with very small finger muscles. Possibility the pay makes it worthwhile. I don't know how much they get.
@Simon Joseph,
I can't speak to the clinical side of things, but from experience with healthcare job boards I can tell you that the other professions in as much demand as RNs are generally: Physical therapists/occupational therapists and speech language pathologists. I have no idea how similar you might find the clinical side of things but they are in high demand on the healthcare job boards I am familiar with.
@Simon Joseph,
Every field related with dentistry is great opportunity to make career and good chance to make career broad.
