Hey everyone. I've had this idea for a tattoo for a while. I'm sure you're all familiar with the phrase "Omne Vivum Ex Vivo" - All life comes from life. What I'd like to do is alter that slightly to say, "All life comes from the stars." My initial thought would be, "Omne Vivum Ex Astra". But recently I noticed that in some phrases "Ex Astra" is replaced with "Ex Astris", as in "Ex Astris, Scientia". Which would be more correct in this context, or is the another configuration that's more proper? Thanks!

Good question. The preposition
ad takes the accusative (
astra).
Generally, "motion-from" uses the ablative and "motion-toward" uses the
accusative.
