Hello. Let's have a discuession on some aspect in the use of tenses.
1. Do you think she's a bitch?
2. Did you realize she's a bitch?
3. Have you realized she's a bitch?
I'm sure the above question is asking the same type of thing. But I think the emphasis and aspect is quite different, isn't it? I'm not sure.
Personally, I think 1 can be used in a casual conversation, asking what you reckon now, your personal opinion. And 2, is focused on the action "realized" in the past, asking whether you were aware in the past. For 3, I think it focuses on whether you know she's a bitch now, not the action itself. But, some English speaker told me that 3 is sort if demending and harsher than using past tense. It sounds like it's your duty or ability to realize she's a bitch. Is it ture? I can't see how it works with the grammar......
Dear native speakers, can you explain how and when to use it, and how it works with the grammar (rules) please?
Thanks.
Don't never call nobody a bitch unless you're prepared to back it up with fisticuffs.
