A French hiker was passing by the Stone Town. The town is an important site for travellers home and abroad who hike in the mountains of northwest of Yuannan. Travellers, who set off from the ancient city of Li River, to the Lu Gu Lake, usually rest here for a day.

At the doorway of the Stone Town, He Ping, a pupil of the third grade, was playing a game transporting stone with a toy car. Residents of the town have been contacting with stones from their childhood. Children love stones, because they are growing up by companying with the stones. They hate the stones too, because the stones alienate them from the world outside their town.
