Drat! I left my scorecard at the shop. Relying on my memory is dangerous, but I believe that the winner this week will be either Cowdoc or Ragman. Both are 11-1. Ragman has Chicago tonight while Cowdoc has Detroit.

@CowDoc,
I don't know. I left my scorecard at work. You might be 12-0. Results tomorrow.

@CowDoc,
BTW, congrats Cowdoc.

I think perhaps RJB misstated. Previously, he had stated that you had no wrong guesses before the late game. I just checked quickly looking back at your picks on Sunday, and I counted out you're being 12-0 and I'm at 11-1. If Chicago wins tonight, we're then in a tie-breaker scenario...as we'd both be 12-1.

@Ragman,
That makes more sense, Ragman....I couldn't locate the one I screwed up - it'll probably be tonight's game, but I just could not bring myself to believe that Cutler would avoid screwing up on a national stage.

@CowDoc,
I'm hearing 'ya there. He sure has a lot of faith and (over)confidence in the accuracy of his arm. A bit too often and at the worst times he has made throws into double-coverage. The other teams are very greatful for that, too.

Tonight Da Bears are stellar against the Lions...I think it's 13-o right now.

In general, Bears team defense is the reals stars of this group. As long as Cutler doesn't throw pick-6s they'll be in business. The defense does score a lot of their points, too.

@Ragman,
I've got 'em in a2k fantasy league, and I need them.

@ossobuco,
Bears. good for you. FWIW, I figure that they'll be in the playoffs. Can't tell how far they'll go, though. Seems Packers are back in synch again.

@Ragman,
Could we get you to play next year? We could possibly make two a2k team sets..

@ossobuco,
It could happen, I think. By next year I might figure out the ins and outs of how to play fantasy league football, which I've avoided so far.

Thanks for the invite.

@Ragman,
(swears) - if I can do it, for you it would be a snap.

I could possibly write up a true and possibly funny set of instructions.

@Ragman,
It could be an open competition.

Jespah, for example, in my view our finest comedic writer, an inveterate fantasy player here, could work up some words if she wanted to.

But wait, is George funnier? very smart guy who knows sports.

Cowdoc is a funny man, but crazy busy, so his contribution would be punchy..

ehBeth is no writing slouch: I bet her advice would be trenchant.

Sounds like a new thread pre next season.
