@Region Philbis,
On TV. It's an event for the wonderful people to be seen at. The cheapest tickts are £100. Which is around $150.

It's a socially superior fancy dress party in essence. It has nothing to do with sport. It is a business proposition with the usual marketing hype.

@spendius,
There won't be any cow herders there RP. The stadium will be packed by those who specialise in lies.

@spendius,
There will be a lot of people there from the real estate industry I should think. And finance and entertainment. Those professions drawn from the weedy swots. There are special farms where they can go to get a feel of country cowshit as an "experience" as part of their "going Green" self-indoctrination. Parties of 20 or so at a tenner a go adds up when they only want to tread around in cowshit for a short-while and throw the pigs some potato peelings. For an extra fiver they can peel the potatoes.

So it's only to be expected that a testosterone bath once a year will have its attractions. I hope they put the roof over so that the stuff doesn't disperse too rapidly.

What does it cost to put on? 70,000 at a min. price of £100, the cheap seats, must get to £10m. Then there's TV. Franchise ****. £20 m. say.

Would the heavy lifting be a million? Would the competing interests for the rest play like they do in NFL?

No wonder all the commentators and studio pundits have "swinging dick" voices.

Yawn. Cowdoc Wins Again.
We did well in Week #7 as a group; much better than the disaster of Week #6. Cowdoc was 12-1, missing only on the last game. Ragman also was 12-1. The tiebreaker went to Cowdoc.
Mysteryman, JPLosman, Miz Cowdoc and Rhys finished at a nice 11-2. Osso, Johnboy, Wandeljw and McGentrix were at 10-3. Tico, Coastalrat and Liontamerx went 9-4. JPB and Ehbeth had to settle for records of 8-5. Edgar and George were 7-6 and Jespah and Andy finished at 6-7.
And Region was an astonishing 3-10.
The best ESPN guy was 12-1. CoinToss and the worst ESPN dude were 8-5.

Weekly winners (and our winning % as a group):
1) Cowdoc (.628)
2) Coastalrat (.470)
3) Wandeljw (.403)
4) Rhys (.700)
5) Cowdoc (.674)
6) JPLosman (.352)
7) Cowdoc (.692)

@Ragman,
The first tiebreaker is the player who predicts a point total closest to the actual total of the last game of the week. You predicted the final score would be 28-17 = 45 points. Cowdoc said 24-17 = 41 points. The final score was something like 13-7 = 20. Cowdoc wins...unless I recorded something wrong.
There are various other tiebreakers in case we need them, concluding with the quirky "(5)...if still tied, the week goes to the lower ranked player." I am proud of that as the final one.
I've posted the rules on breaking ties at least once a year and I have asked for suggestions. No responses, which is not all that surprising, I guess.
I hope I have clarified things. I don't care what the rules are, as long as there are rules I can follow.

@realjohnboy,
thanks ... I appreciate that. You recorded it correctly. No criticism was intended.

Personally, I've no problem with the rules. I forgot how tiebreaker worked as it's been forever and I've a sieve for a brain lately. I couldn't easily locate the part of the thread that 'splained 'em.

That's terrible picking John considering that 3 or 4 games every week involve a team at 5 to 1 on in the betting. There are 7 teams this next week which are hot overdogs. The Vikes, the Packers, the Steelers, the Patriots, the Bears, the Broncos and the 49ers.
