Ouch, Coastalrat. We hope you are okay.
We are all in this week except JBLosman. A few hours to go yet.
All of us are choosing Baltimore tonight except JPB who is going with Cleveland.

I hope someone's got a better reason than mine (John Waters).

@CoastalRat,
Always remember, always make sure you got bat-room. Mr. Green

Seriously, I hope that you're ok and there was no concussion.

@ehBeth,
Cool pick. Thanks everyone for the concern. I am actually doing pretty good. Headaches come and go still, but not as much the last couple of days. It was a pretty deep gash just above my eye that required 2 inside stitches and 6 outside. But we don't think I suffered a concussion. I feel a bit better each day. So that is a good thing.

Although, as I was being questioned immediately after getting hit, I was asked if I knew where I was. I answered and then was told that I was really at a Justin Bieber concert, at which point I asked that someone please hit me again. So at least I kept my sense of humor as I lay there bleeding all over the dirt behind home plate. lol

@Region Philbis,
Yeah, it was the first time I had caught in over a year. But neither one of our regular catchers was there, and we had someone else who could play 3B, so I volunteered.

On a side note, I know my wife and I have been married a long time, but I didn't realize just how much she was used to my getting injured playing softball (I've had one or two injuries over the years.) When my son called her to tell her I'd been hit in the head by a bat and was headed to the emergency room, her response was, "Ok. Well, I'm going to bed now. Tell your father I'll see him when he gets home."

I love my wife.

@CoastalRat,
I can relate. I regularly get the living hell knocked out of me working cattle, but few people in corrals cut anybody any slack for minor injuries - and anything short of decapitation is usually considered minor. Rule of thumb: "If you're lookin' for sympathy, you can find it in the dictionary - somewhere between **** and syphilis."
