My Lord! Kumbaya?
We agree as a group on 80% of our picks this week. Only JPB chose Cleveland last night. We all select Az and only Miz Cowdoc has St L and only Region is going with NO. There are three games where we split 17-2.
I have the Minnesota-Detroit game as a toss-up.
Cowdoc agrees with the majority on every game. Ehbeth, Liontamerx, Ragman, Coastalrat and Osso are out of step on only one game.
Miz Cowdoc disagrees with the herd on six games, followed by Jespah, JPB and Wandeljw with five.

I wouldn’t be any good at this game. I know nothing about football, the only thing I know is they have wide receivers and tight ends.

@jcboy,
hahah!

Don't let that stop you. It's fun just guessing and particpating in the contest. Then you could watch games or highlights for the results to see how close you came and still lost. Of course, if you don't watch the games or care at all about football, then participating might lose it lustre quickly.

The Ryder Cup has been pretty good. A couple of chaps in the pub reckon that the Medinah greens have electro-magnetic guidance wires buried in the turf.

They admit that the players don't know on the same principle that most Americans have an IQ of 140 without knowing how it is done.

@spendius,
The scoring is a mystery until one finds an explanation from google.
Seems sophomoric to me, but I gather it's fun.

Back to football. 7 early games this week set to start in a few minutes. No one seems to be wavering from his/her earlier picks. So we are good to go.

Do we need to tighten our sea-belts John?

Gawd!! You guys can make threading daisy-chains sound macho. Or plumping cushions.

@spendius,
No, no. We are macho. We throw caution to the wind, sneering as the wind blows though our long blond hair and over our sun burned skin.
No sea-belts for us. Sea-belts are wimpish.

Nobody's perfect. But through eight games Mysteryman, Osso, Ragman, Miz Cowdoc, Rhys and George are 7-1. As is CT. Miz C was alone in picking St L.
