I should know to believe in the Texans, but their great playing is still new to me.

@George,
This is getting ridiculous.
Are they waiting for a full-goose gang fight?

@realjohnboy,
How badly did we as a group do in week 3? I don't know yet but I see a whole lot of red on my scorecard.
McGentrix is 9-6 ahead of tonight's game and has Green Bay. Five players are 8-7 but only Wandeljw is choosing Seattle.

@realjohnboy,
I have a resoundingly disappointing six.

Well, look, there's plenty of room left for improvement on my part.

Maybe this will be my worst year yet. I know I did ok one year, something like fourth (me and a lot of other people). I know I once got three (three!) right and I consider that an unacceptable nadir. Six looks better in contrast to the three.

Congrats to Mrs. Cow Doc re her choice of Tennessee.

@edgarblythe,
Shaub beat Griffin on fantasy points. Cool, man.
Oh, and then there was the ear thing.

Anyone have opinions on the referee situation? Me, I hope it gets over fast fast fast.

@ossobuco,
Sad to say but the MLB referees and owners are further apart as of yesterday/last night's meeting.

My opinion, as meaningless as it is, the owners are showing jut the same profits regardless, so they are unmotivated to make a compromise or settlement.

From a fan's viewpoint, while the product on the field arguably suffers qualitatively - it's not enough suffering where fans will stop watching or slow down going to games or drop the NFL premium packages or buy less memorabilia.

And the beat goes on

I realized I was 8-7 but your last comment surprised me! If Seattle wins, I will be tied with McGentrix. Normally, 8-7 players don't have any chances to win the week.

@wandeljw,
So far this season, the trend is for the upset and higher percentage of home teams winning.

@Ragman,
Well, Seattle is the home team. Let's hope the replacement referees at that game allow themselves to be influenced by the home crowd. I am only joking, apparently this is a real problem.

@wandeljw,
Yeah, the theory is that these refs are responding to the fans shrieks and coaches trying to intimidate them. Can you imagine the pressure? Watching the Pats-Ravens game...I was horrified throughout the game with the poor calls, particularly at the end (FG decision).

@Ragman,

easy solution -- make the field-goal target a square.

@Region Philbis,
I can't believe that this particular FG problem didn't rear it's ugly head before that game. Or did it?

@Ragman,
It gets more like Circus Maximus though (not that I'm well read on that). Lots of flaunting of no nos, lots of balancing penalties. People are going to be hurt, which I suppose is good theater. What's with the clown who helmetted Schaub?
