@Cycloptichorn,

it's "official" -- the replacement ref's gotta go...

they actually called this a TD!

pay the damn ref's what they want.
these amateurs are ruining the sport...

Apparently, I have "wrestled away" this week's win from McGentrix. I wonder how I will do when the real refs come back.

I have taken it in the shorts again this week.
On a straight pick'em basis, I am 5 - 11.
As if that weren't bad enough, two of my winners failed to cover the spread.

At least a fine. I wouldn't be surprised if the league office suspends him.

@Region Philbis,
I liked Brandon Spikes's line:
Footlocker called. You guys are needed back at work.

Do those of us who picked Green Bay at least get partial credit?

@The Smart Money,
Quote:
$150M-$250M in MNF bets shifted

Monday night's controversial touchdown call that gave the Seattle Seahawks a 14-12 victory over
the Green Bay Packers had an immediate impact for gamblers.

If the Hail Mary pass by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson would have been ruled an interception
by Packers safety M.D. Jennings, Green Bay -- 3½ point favorites -- would have won by five, covering
the spread.

Instead, the replacement officials' call that Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate had possession shifted
all those who bet on the Packers to those who took the underdog Seahawks.

"Most of the customers in the sportsbook were not happy with the final call," said John Avello, director
of the race and sportsbook at the Wynn in Las Vegas. "The shift was 100 percent. After the (Seahawks)
score, all bets were reversed."

@McGentrix,
I see an unfortunate analogy here:

What happened after last night's fiasco is final proof that the NFL has prostituted itself. This is akin to witnessing your g/f or wife doing the flagrant act and seeing that she's really a skanky hooker doing the nasty with the Navy's 7th Fleet. (No offense to the Navy.)

If The Commish doesn't reverse the decision (he actually has the power to do so), and award it to the Packers. Considering the Vegas betting and transfer of $$$, how can anyone feel that corruption and collusion isn't a suspicious possibility?

I don't actually believe in that actual conspiracy. My explanation for this is that it's just that these officials are just collosally incompetent and panic-ridden.

WEEK #3:
Wandeljw did indeed wrest away the win from McGentrix in Week #3. They both finished at 9-7 but Wandeljw won based on my memory of the tiebreaker rules*. He joins Cowdoc and Coastalrat as a weekly winner.
JPB, JBLosman, Jespah and Miz Cowdoc managed to come in at 8-8 while George, AndyD and Osso were at 7-9. Tico, Edgar, Region, Liontamerx, and Cowdoc struggled in at 6-10 and Mysteryman, Johnboy, Ehbeth and Coastalrat really struggled to end at 5-11. Ragman and Rhys were 4-12.
As a group we scored a humbling .403.
The best ESPN guy was 11-5! Astounding. The worst was way down at 4-12.
