I don't think anyone else, working in any contemporary medium, has managed to maintain such sharp intelligence and lightness of touch in satire as has Trudeau. The fellow is a true American treasure, and I think he'll take his place with Mencken and Twain.

I first started reading (and buying) Doonesbury way back in the 70s. My sister has my old ones at present, they might just be worth something now!!
No, he's from New York. His grandfather was a famous doctor and ran a sanitorium for tuberculosis patients.
