we are on the road right now and we stopped at a few camps that have telephones and data ports so we stop at about 5, set up and then , just goof off. mrs F is out meeting people. SOmething that i generally hate in camp grounds, every guy is into beer and NASCAR. I would love to meet another gardener or fiwsherman. One year, in Caqanada we ran into the original ALVIN pilot, he could barely heqar so we had to shout alot. He was cool.
Most campers are into cleaning and polishing their rigs in his n hers jumpsuits. If it werent for the cable tv and 30 amp service, Id just as well park on a WAlmart lot until we get to MAine. Were going into New Brunswick for a few days to get some piloting info for the Bay of Fundy. So well hit Fredrickton and ST Johns and then turn back to Calais.
Mooses are particularly plentiful this year, we saw 3 already and weve just gotten into Maine by Rt 2 . (Ive gotta see if the tourmaline dealers in Bethel are having any deals on specimens for the school museum)

Ive gotta fly back to Pa for a deposition in 1st week of August

Large flamingo bird feeder?

Reminds me, the first year I was here in north north California, and my front yard was a wretched mess, but I was beginning to be established in town as a landscape architect, I came home one day to find a very large pink flamingo stuck in a prominent place. I thought, what nerve, somebody is taunting me (a guilty conscience needs no accuser, as the nuns used to say). Turned out it was some sort of drive to get donations for breast cancer, and you were then supposed to put the flamingo on someone else's lawn, or bare soil, as the case may be. Alas, I had already tossed it by the time I learned that.

Have fun, Portal!

Ah, farmerman, I just saw your post. Glad to get your report. I would probably be pretty crabby in such a campground situation. Well, I'm odd, y' know.

G...Why don't you sit down right here on this nice, comfy sofa, and I'll massage your head & shoulders for you. You'll feel serene in no time, I promise. Just loosen that tie...

Don't feel sorry for G!
He's in France, according to a text message last night.

Where are you? Yeah - exactly! Me too - nowhere near as interesting! Twisted Evil

Gautam, Tell them to take a flying leap! Tell them I said so.

I'll be without a computer until I find a replacement computer desk. i placed an add for my old one, thinking I wouldn't get any takers. Got a call last night. they guy came over and took it away right then and there. so my puter's sitting in pieces on the floor. (Isn't that the name of a song?)

I'll be off to Germany in three days - leaving Mondaymorning. Eiffel. Beautiful place, beautiful views! (at least, that's what they tell me Cool ). This means I won't be able to be on A2K for two weeks. Difficult for me, being a serious A2K-addict Smile

<Rick learnt in the meantime that he isn't actually going in the Eiffel region, but close to it, namely to a nice place on the Mosel River>

I really hope that you have a great time, Rick. Why are you there; for a holiday?

Holiday. I'm going with my parents. That wasn't actually the plan (I wanted to go to NYC with a friend), but you know, money problems Rolling Eyes And from that point of view, a holiday with my folks ain't that bad (means 'for free' ). And 'cause I'm 17, I don't feel I have to be ashamed about it.

Money certainly is an important point - and there is really no point at all to be ashamed for this holiday!
