Wandel, That's why I'm a bit concerned about our Raggedy. She always gives us an update on celebrity birthdays on the WA2K Radio thread, and nothing yesterday or today. Incidentally, your daughter is lovely, my friend.

(Thanks, I couldn't be more proud of my daughter!)

However, raggedy has me concerned. Those of us who visit her trivia thread rely a great deal on her. It has only been one and a half days, but for raggedy that's unusual.

I sent her an e-mail. Nothing yet. Let's just hope that she's away and not ill or some such thing.

I havn't been around so much lately. I've been busy in my new job and finalising wedding plans (24th March). Just a civil wedding...but I'm very exited. We were going to get married when I was very ill in Dec 03...but I wanted to wait 'till the blossom was on the trees and I could enjoy a big shindig!

We are off to Amsterdam for our honeymoon 16th to 22nd - and yes I know it's before the wedding, but after was too expensive due to Easter...and I've always done thing 'arse uppards' as we say in Manchester.

Me thinks I will be back in earnest after I have recovered from the celebrations!

PS Anyone want any clogs, porn, tulips, Van Gogh prints or Marijuana bringing back?

Sarah, that is marvelous news, honey. I am delighted for you. I do wish I could be at the European gathering, but I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the pictures.

Thanks Letty...did post my wedding date way back, thought I had loads of time, but it's come round so quick. I promise to post pics on my return. I don't care what the weather's like...come rain or shine, I'll be so happy. We have chosen Let's Stay Together by Al Green as our song at the end of the ceremony (although I wanted 'It should have been me' Yvonne Fair hee hee).

Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad...

Very Happy

cicerone imposter:

Dear Sir,

As much as I would like to join you for the A2k gathering on may 1st, I fear a provincial girl such as myself is far better suited to the North west of this sceptered isle.

There is nothing cultural or historical I require from the capital. In fact I have only visited London twice in my life; once for an interview at the Canadian embassy and once to visit Hampton Court, the Tudor period being a particular passion of mine.

However, missing the opportunity to frotage with fellow members of A2K will indeed be one of lifes disappointments.

When Blake wrote Jarusalem, he was not referring to london, but to the North West of this green and pleasant land.

Yours truly

Sarah

Sarah, The per diem in London has grown astronomically for American visitors, so it's primary purpose is to visit with fellow A2Kers - although I love London for other things. I keep saying "this is my last visit to London," but I've broken that promise too often for it to have any meaning. But, I can tell you, there's nothing more I can mortgage to fund another trip to the UK captal. Wink

So why not come to manchester?...The curry mile, the 'happenin' night life, the historical buildings, the lake district and beautiful snowdonia but an hour away...smorgs lives there, spare bedroom...

Quote, "the curry mile, the 'happenin' night life..." got an outburst of involuntary laughter from me. While in Hong Kong last month for Chinese New Years, I went out to the pub district in Central called Lan Kwai Fong, and got smashing drunk. Acted like a teenager at my almost 70 years. Will continue later; my wife wants to have a serious talk.

Thanks, Letty. We're all a bit jumpy about regulars who disappear now, after Cav.

Taking another deep breath.....1....2....3....

Letty, send Raggedyaggie my regards. Tell her the gaming threads are like empty, meaningless halls of knowledge without her presence.

Eva, I was getting to the place that I was afraid to e-mail anyone after Cav.

Gus, Raggedy will be delighted to know that you missed her.

Well, folks. I better roll into bed. See you in the morning.

Husker, my husband had a Morris Mini-minor. His colleagues at the TV station said that he wore it to work. Called it the blue bathtub..heh heh
