Yes, Eva, we thought of the Mexican symbol--very like it was our hawk.
Yep, Letty, the dotted line has been signed, or sighned--we are very tired right about now.
Diane
It looks like things are moving along :-D
Yeah Montana, things are moving along, but Dys and I are slowing down--age, you know. Sigh.
Diane wrote:Hi Letty. Dys and I are moving to Albuquerque late this week after a couple of months of house hunting, getting a mortgage and all the details of buying a house. I don't remember ever having to give out so much information about myself. Will they start to ask for a DNA sample next?
I know just what you mean! Just went through the same process myself. Yowza.
Good luck with your move! Looks like we'll be moving at exactly the same time.
Hey Soz--good luck on your move!!
Bob and I are packing the computers today, so we won't be online for about a week as we will be in a motel until a couple of skylights are installed at the house.
By then we both should have regained some of our sanity (niether of us wants to be completely sane--it just wouldn't be the same).
Wish us luck. We'll see you in a few days.
Love to all,
Diane and Dys
Good luck on your move as well Soz :-D
I'm already there with Soz, moving from room to room, action!
back home safe - totally swamped - back later
Diane and dys, Missed you before you packed your computers, so this is a belated "have a safe move." Can't understand why you folks are giving up that fantastic view from your home in Denver in exchange for the flatlands of Albuquerque, but there must be many good reasons (which we're dying to hear about). I'm sure Asherman and the Mrs will be happy to have you guys as neighbors.
Husker, let us know about your trip when you're refreshed and feeling good.
Hey, all. JLNobody has a new MAC laptop, and he's having trouble logging in to A2K. I sent him Jes' link on the announcement thread. I don't know one thing about Mac's, but I assume that that shouldn't be a problem.
Anyone know?
He wants all his artist and philosophy friends to know that he is enjoying reading the postings.

I'm expecting Dys and Diane to arrive at my house tomorrow, Friday morning. They will pick up their new house keys and drive to their empty new home a mile from my home. I did the walkthru inspection with their realtor this morning for Dys and Diane. Henry, my contractor, is already at the house getting ready to lay new floor tile throughout the house, install 4 skylights after the roof is replaced this weekend, and paint the interior after all the sheet rock dust is gone.
It's 95 degrees and Henry and I were sweating like pigs unloading stuff into the garage this morning. 31 cartons of tile weigh a ton.

I'll be out of town tomorrow, going to a cousin's birthday party. They happen to live in BillW's hometown, so Bill and I are planning to meet each other over lunch first! (I'll report back and let the rest of you know what the wolfie is REALLY like.

Fantastic, Eva. Tell Bill to explain about "Lady Day".

I think so, too! Hope you have a great time as neighbors. What a great a2k story!
Letty -- I'll have my husband & son with me. Is "Lady Day" an appropriate story for a 10 yr. old to hear? (If not, I'll send my son to the bathroom before I ask!)
