...and there is big controversy with regard to the dance and its origin. Many feel she should apologize.
What are your thoughts?

@nqyringmind,
My thoughts are: Are they kidding?

This is rather nicer than the common emotional reaction of falling flat to the grass, or similar.

@ossobuco,
I can't find a problem in there, either.

@ossobuco,
It's the Crip walk, popularized by the gang of the same name in Oakland.

@Lash,
Hmm, is there a Bloods gang there too? And do they have a dance?

@Lash,
Young folks picked up on this dance and it became somewhat of a craze about a decade ago. Does this change anyone's opinion?

@nqyringmind,
The only opinions I see so far have been favorable. Why would they change?

@ossobuco,
Hmmm. I suppose you'll have to google for an answer. I don't know if the Bloods have disbanded or have a dance.

@Lash,
I doubt they've disbanded... more like expanded, but I haven't been following lately.

@Lash,
That's my point. She has received quite a bit of criticism for doing the "Crip Walk", for dancing on such an occasion, for dancing on Wimbledon grounds...

Hey,Serena didn't spike the ball in the endzone...... In her next Olympic match..doubles with Venus..which they won....did Serena have to make her first first serve from five yards behind the baseline>

@nqyringmind,
You left that out of your information. I assumed many people would have no reason why some found her dance offensive.

@Lash,
I left it out intentionally.

@nqyringmind,
Is any kind of dancing acceptable at Wimbledon?

If yes, then this is fine.

If not, <shrug>.

I didn't know everyone at work was a crip. I'll keep that in mind for the next party and hide in the bathroom Laughing

@Lash,
Are you kidding, Lash? The Cripes would do a dance like that? Get out of here.

@Irishk,
Yep! Now you're going to have to change your name to something like "Killa Irish" or how about Irishk Dawg!

I very much doubt a Crip would be caught dead wearing a red headband. That color belongs to the Bloods. Maybe "caught dead" was a poor choice of words. Some people take the difference between Red and Blue seriously.
