Two party system
America should have a run off system and the Debates should allow all parties. Camapaigna purley money driven and reforms so far have been ineffective. The way it is we usually have to vote for the lesser of two evils. In my view the Rethugs and Dems are bot so corupt now that the American system is a pure Oligarchy.

ebrown Nader stated publicly that he was glad to see bush in office because if he screwed up things badly enough it would better his chances in 2004. Political opportunism, period.

All grievances should be ignored in order to band together and get this dangerous man off Pennsylvania Ave, and back to his ranch in Crawford.

IMO.

Or in handcuffs and leg irons. Which is where he really belongs.

Ross Perot got Clinton elected with a small plurality in 1992. His motives were about as unfathomable as Nader's. Turnabout ....

Factoid: the last president to win a majority of the popular vote was George Bush Sr. in 1988. Bush Jr. & Clinton (both terms) both won less than 50% of the vote.

The actions of Ralph Nader remind me of a 70 year old going on six.

If Ralph Nader fails to see the political landscape in this country after three years of GWBush, he's running blind - and stupid.

Nader's attitude is, nobody is paying attention to my most important issue; I will run and give it exposure.

And we all know what "exposure" he's talking about except he doesn't understand it.

My point being that the Nader situation is being blown a little out of proportion here. We have three threads on the front page dedicated to him, each one filled with the same content: Ralph Nader is an egotistial idiot who is ruining the chances for a Democratic president. I have never - not even in the case of Bush - seen as much disdain for one man expressed here in such little time. Now, I am no Nader fan myself, as I made clear in other threads. But this Nader lynching is getting a little out of control. Move on.

I kinda feel the way ILZ does. I mean, I know 2000 was a traumatic experience. But I think, with any more of these threads, his votes/A2K-attention ratio will break all rational records.
