Walter--

Tell your sister that to avoid difficulties down the road you want her to work with you on making a complete inventory of your mother's goods and chattels. After all this shouldn't take more than two or three weeks if you work together.

*************

My appointment this morning went well--considering that there is no cure for Crohn's and that the drugs that work for some people's symptoms are completely ineffective for other people.

I'll be taking Pentsa--two pills, four times a day--probably for the rest of my long and illustrious life. If the Pentsa doesn't get rid of the sordid symptoms and stop the weight loss, I'll have a go-round with steroids. I should see improvement in about two weeks.

Hoping that the improvement(s) come as soon as possible!

-----

Well, according to my mother my sister got a letter from the court as well.
In this letter, she told her, was noted that she (mother) is at the mercy of me; she couldn't even decide on her own if and when she wants to go to the bathroom but had to ask me before.

I think that's why mother did the shopping tour today, ask me to get some books, wanted to go in her home ... (We did all, besides going in the home: when I stopped in front of it, my mother thought it was too late ... after I reminded her about the 40 something steps.)

Back in the home, all and everything was forgotten.

Unfortunately I don't have any contact with my sister nor do I know how to reach her; but your idea, Noddy, is excellent, though
(On Sunday, Pentecost, is Mother's Day, and Whit Monday is a public holiday as well.
Mother got today a small parcel due to this from my sister (and family). They are deeply grieved that they can't come because my sister is a mother as well ...

Good news, Noddy.
And, Walter, it is good you can see bits of humor in all this.

Walter - if you follow Noddy's very sound suggestion perhaps it would be as well to make the offer in writing, registered, return receipt requested, or whatever the German postal equivalent is. You might also send a copy to whoever is your contact at the court.

In all future dealings with your sister you should probably do everything you can to cover your *ss. It may be inconvenient now, but possible (probable?) difficulties down the road could be far more inconvenient.

Noddy - two weeks may seem a long time to wait for improvement to appear, but it's a (relatively) definite period, and that's a help, at least psychologically. Just don't wither away before then if the Pentsa doesn't help. Keep on truckin'...

Walter--

Obviously the court has your sister's address.

TomKitten--

Two weeks in the greater scheme of things, isn't long at all. I'm much more daunted by four times a day. My early mornings and my evenings are ritualized, but the middles of my days are very flexible and fitting in pills will take an effort.

You know, there are days when a body gets tired of making efforts....but this doesn't exempt a body from doing so. Next pills are due at 4 o'clock...and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow....

You've probably thought of this, and maybe it wouldn't work when combined with other pills, but the only way I can remember to take my Lomotil, etc is at meals and bedtime. But perhaps this new stuff doesn't go well with food?

TomKitten--

Perhaps when my Intestinal Poltergeist calms down and I can eat meals on a regular basis instead of grazing....

If all else fails I will order a pill box with a built-in-alarm....senility, here I come.

Well, I hope the new pills will perform an effective exorcism of the Poltergeist, regardless of their scheduling.

Tomkitten--

Thank you.

I can tie the third set of pills into my afternoon nap time. This will help.

Of course, my symptoms might improve so much that I won't need the nap....

Pampered women can dither most unattractively.

I'm going to need my nap today. The new meds may well accomplish wonders, but my intestines are resisting change.

Fortunately, today can be an easy day.

Sending good thoughts to you, Noddy. I hope the pills provide relief.

Walter, that sister of yours! She doesn't give up, does she? Hang in there, friend.

Take it easy on that easy day, Noddy: enjoy your nap!

______

Yes, my sister. Sad

After having had a long (personal) talk with the court clerk this morning (she gave the advice not to spend a single cent without receipt, preferably with my mother's name on it), I've just sent her a letter (registered, return receipt requested), asking to send her keys back (great view of disbelief from the court clerk, when she heard that my sister still got them), and then noting about a dozen points where I asked her to give her accordance. And since she doesn't want to have any however named contact with me - she should send all to the court.

the new home phone brendalee and I just picked up has an built-in alarm that you can remind you "time to take your pills" - now if I could just find a four year old to program that phone.

Good luck with the pills!

Walter, enjoy your sister-vacation.

Yeh. I'm about to buy one of those plastic boxes with dividers...

I've used them before and hated them.
