Aunt had (and still has) some difficulties re the changed medication (no pills at all at noon time, two in the evening, two for the night ...).
But it starts, it seems to get a tiny bit better: she was the first time at the table for lunch [dinner] (but ate only a little bit).
And she accepted that we called an alteration tailor from the nurse care ...

Mrs Walter just had a sorrow examination and got some infos about what will be done and why today.
On Tuesday, she'll be checked by the anaesthetists and get education about the anaestesias by them. Wednesday is our national public holiday, o on Tuesday morning she's to be at 6:30am at the hospital, will get the abdominoscopy at first, than change the theatre and get the gall bladder taken away afterwards.
Good news that your aunt is able to get out of bed, Walter.
Too bad that U's procedures and plans are in such flux. It's hard to steel oneself for intervention and then find out that it's been delayed. Ok, deep breaths 'til Tuesday then.
Thursday is the operation, not Tueseday.
(That above was my mistake, before, it has been a misunderstanding by U's family doctor.)
But thanksa lot, JPB!
Walter--
By this time next week your life should be simpler.
Hold your dominion.
Yi! Yi! Yi!
I am seriously thinking of investing in a triple-bore, gaudy plastic windmill for the yard this winter.
I'm thinking of it as a sort of Western Tibetan Prayer Wheel.
Blow ye winds of morning
Blow ye winds, heigh-ho.
Haul away your running gear
And blow, blow, blow!
Best wishes to you both, Walter. Is Mrs. H in much pain?

Not now - but it can happen any time again (with advice by the surgeons from hospital to call the standby duty doctor in that case).
JPB--
Everything--everything takes unnecessary time.
I started to provide an example, but I couldn't stand wasting my time again.
Mr. Noddy no longer has a scheduling conflict. Mr. Noddy will have his first eye exam in 15 months. I took care of the insurance glitch in the podiatrist's payment. (Which Mr. Noddy promised to do six months ago). The bill ($14.95) will not go to a collection agency.
Etc., etc..
If I decide to invest $30 in pinwheel therapy I could amble over to a winter window (very gray and brown scenery) and see triple-pinwheel spinning wildly in the breeze.
Gawdy, gawd awful--but cheerful and unquenchable.
Sounds like it could be $30 well spent.
Unfortunately winter is coming. I'm blocking the thought. I'll enjoy fall as long as I can.
JPB--
I've done some research on line. There is a very energetic sort of pig with pinwheel wings.
If he comes in pink, rather than white....
Mother is still very confused about the situation re her sister, my aunt.
Th latter seems to enjoy the situation and the attraction she gets (I think).
The new pills seem to work: she is out of bed/coach more often.
But still she "feeling bad", can't move out of the bed (when the nurse comes in the morning), can't eat potatoes and meat (only a little bit of vegetables)...
The doctor from the compulsory long term care insurance will come tomorrow (has been a story of its own, how I "convinced" him/them to act more quickly).
Now off in couple of minutes to drive Mrs Walter to the hospital for her gastroscopy and (later the day) gall bladder operation.
not to be nosy, Walter, but is this a laparoscopy?
I'm sure Mrs. Walter doesn't know me from Bo Peep, but I very much wish her well.
Well, it is a laparoscopy, indeed.
That has be done meanwhile. But she has to wait for her operation becuase some others take longer than expected ...
And at mother's/aunt's ... since aunt didn't want to get up (she "couldn't" she said, again) the nurse (and later I, too) told her that in such a case she had to go to hospital. She didn't say 'no'.
So I got the hospitalization from her GP (an internist, called the ambulance - she's now in the psychiatric hospital in anoter town (which is the one 'in charge' for my native town).
Mother thinks, she can stay alone and do everything by herself since she "isn't ill".
We'll see how that works out. And I have to wait for the results.
Mrs Walter's operation was successfull, and everything went well.
That's very good news, Mr. Hinteler!
Very good news indeed!
The elder ladies situation sounds quite tenuous. Is your sister helping out in the short term?
My Mom is failing. I saw her last weekend and twice she confused me for my aunt, who is about 1/2 my size (and unrelated). The next moment, she was fine. Her cancer has also returned. She has a birthday coming up - her 84th. I'll be surprised if she sees her 85th.
I need to do something extra nice for her.
Great news on Mrs. Walter.
Sorry about your mom, cj.
Sorry to hear that, cjhsa.
Is your mother in a situation where you can set her up with music she likes?
