My Firefox spell checker is disabled in the "politics" forum

Bert the ways of the 21st century are baffling indeed. For instance and for no apparent reason spellcheck also no longer works in Google

Can't believe you guys need spell-check. I never use it; wouldn't know if it's working or not.

No arthritic fingers -- yet. And I do try and proof-read everything before I hit the "submit" or "reply" button. Been using a typewriter keyboard since I was about 10 or 11 years old (early 1950s) and the keyboard is no mystery for me.
