Pulling Hair Over Firefox Favorites

Is there no simple one touch way to make your favorites drop down in Firefox like they do in Windows? I've gone to their help pages but can't find a definitive answer or if it's there I'm just not getting it. This business of having to scroll to "unorganized favorites" then slide left to get to them is so cumbersome I'm about to uninstall Firefox.
