Firefox - Session Restore / Restores Older (But Not Most Recent) Session

I am currently running Firefox v19.0.2, under Windows XP Professional. Just recently I noted that under the Restore Previous Session option, Firefox has apparently "gotten stuck" - and is restoring a previous much older session, but not the most recent previous session. Is there anything I can do to get this "un-stuck"?
