Is it a good idea if you found a nice apartment to rent, and after you signed the lease, found out your ex-girlfriend's college roommate lives next door?

Does he recall how much he wanted to bone his ex-girlfriend's friend? Is this one of the reasons the girlfriend is now his ex girlfriend?
