It's been many, many years since I've studied Latin and I'm trying to translate "May your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground." into Latin, but I've hit some roadblocks. I know the basic vocab, but I always struggled with the grammar aspect of the fancier parts of sentences. Normally I'd fight my way through and translate it myself, but it's very important I get this right.

I'll appreciate any help that someone can offer!

EDIT: I'm also looking for a classical Latin translation rather than church Latin or a later form.
