US Afghanistan troop suicides

According to the latest Time Magazine, ever since the beginning of the Afghanistan war, more troops have died by their own hand than in battle.

Was it from boredom, drugs, or long time exposure of depleted Uranium. The military has told us that DU is harmless, but nothing about the effect of long term exposure.
