Yesterday my cat got a mouse but to my surprise he just played with it, and finally let it go. What a surprise and any of you guys met such situation before?
@space007,
I've heard of it before. It's not that uncommon in house cats. Some cats that never go outside don't feel the urge to hunt and they don't know that other things are huntable. Certain cats that were never taught by their mother about hunting so they haven't developed the hunting instinct and techniques.
@tsarstepan,
My daughter has pet rats and a ferret and her cat gets along well with all of them.
I had one cat who played with mice until they died of fright. Then they were no longer interesting to her. She left the bodies for me.
I had another cat who loved to play with mice. He always let them go.
