@Setanta,

Tofu is, next to catses, the most evil creation of SATAN.

I think you mean seitan, not satan. I had no idea you can make cats out of it, but I'm not surprised. It's a very versatile ingredient.

I used to feed my Chow Chow little chunks of liver as training treats, that dog would follow me anywhere. I like liver but it's sometimes hard to find and its quality is unpredictable...rather like the truth.

@ehBeth,
Wait a minute, you ORDER Pad Thai with Tofu? Why?
Order it w/o anything in it - no shrimp, chicken, beef, pork and certainly not, tofu.

It's a carbohydrate delight.

@ehBeth,
That's what I'm talking about, what's all that other stuff on there?
Also, hint, hint, if you order without, they have to make it fresh.

@Setanta,
a ha!
So the dogs and cats become the shrimp-eaters.!

I had a cat named Blue who could make a festival of eating one shrimp.
He sniff it, he'd bite it, he'd shake his head as if electro-shocked and toss it across the kitchen floor.

POUNCE.

Start over....sniff, bite, shake, toss, pounce.... . repeat.

He'd do the same thing with a pitted black olive.

@Joe Nation,
The dogs absolutely will not eat shrimp. If they forget themselves so far as to take it into their mouths, you can see how they hold it there gingerly so as not to actually bite down, then they drop it on the floor. Then they look at me as though who would say: "What? Are you crazy? You eat that stuff?"
