@Ceili,
All the law abiding people who owns a gun that I know, took safety courses, so you can't say just say they have no training.

And America has nuclear bombsssssssss.

I hope you are not one of those Anti-gun people don't think and reason, but only FEEL, made up of a bunch of epicene men, and panic stricken women.

@Val Killmore,
I'm so pleased for you and your friends. A safety course is not proper training for when an assailant has a gun and is firing at people in a tight area.
Did you really think a safety course was intelligent reasoning?
I'm well aware the US has the bomb. We don't. I was responding to the statement below.

Same logic with the Nuclear armament, each country keeps each other in check. Mutually assured destructing, crassly speaking.

So, the US keeps other nations in check because they have the bomb... except for Pakistan, India, Iran, N. Korea, Russia and all the rogue states who have managed to find old armaments and buy them on the black market.

We prefer diplomacy. It seems to have done no worse than your heavy handed method of control.

@Ceili,
I don't think Pakistan, India, and Russia are rogue states, especially India, they've been good allies to us.

Pakistan got the nuclear weapons from China, not through some black market, LOL.
Because China's biggest enemy is India... so helping Pakistan..... well you're big enough to reach the conclusion.

@L1n1o,
Can you read? Did I say they were rogue states?
English 101. Go back and give it another try. K

@Ceili,
Ok, maybe I skimmed through it.
There are only two rogue nations with Nuclear weapons, currently. North Korea and Iran.

By your estimation, at least.

@L1n1o,
Oh, I get it. Now this thread is no longer just a thread about guns and gun ownership (that's what you started, right, Set?....uh...Set?) but about nuclear weapons and nuke proliferation. Interesting thread. <ho-hum> Think I'll go and play on one of Dutchy's wild world of words threads.

Is an idiotic clown oxymoronic ?

Can a jackass rise to the intellectual heights of an idiot ?

So if you buy a nuclear bomb, do you put the receipt in the bag or your pocket?

@Setanta,
I'm putting my paper receipt in my wallet, while I carry out my groceries in my paper bag.

You shove it up your ass which is what a small handful of posters have done with this thread.

@Lustig Andrei,
With that attitude, I can see why I need a bomb to protect myself. Otherwise I wouldn't be safe from people blowing up threads.

@Lustig Andrei,
Aww, really?
Take a thread off course and were assholes who should be raped with receipts. You are shining examples of why people don't stick around this place.

Should we start recording when you all take a thread off course?
Where are the rules, any rules for a2k that says threads have to stay on topic? I've yet to see them or see it happen..
Are we having conversations or not?

Canada doesn't need the bomb. It has a very strong neighbor to the south that, in my opinion, would not tolerate any country invading its northern neighbor. Canada also has a very strong Queen Mother that, in my opinion, would not tolerate any country invading one of its valued Commonwealth countries.

Canada does not have to worry about the bullies of the world.

You don't show any inclination to fly the coop, Ceili. I could be nasty and add, more's the pity, but, no, it's good to have a diversity of personalities here.

There are no such rules. You have every right to act like a jerk and take a thread wherever you wish. And I have every right to be vocally irritated by that behavior and to say so in no uncertain terms. (I notice that you got quite irritated -- unreasonably so, I thought -- by the non-sequitur responses you were getting on your missing Irish thread and, again, threatened to leave this site. You threaten that a lot.)

Relax. Take a deep breath. What this thread has now deteriorated to is some of us being irritated by others hijacking Set's thread and some of the hijackers being irritated at the criticism they've received. Sheeesh, what a bunch of spoiled brats.

I thought in the U.S., "possession is 9/10ths of the law," meaning that to prove something belongs to someone, when they don't have possession of the item, that person needs proof. In effect, a receipt should always stay on one's person. The fact that this was not taught to everyone may show how many get a "la de da" education.
