So this girl...

So I met this girl on the train last week, saw her twice. The first time I couldn't talk to her, too afraid so I just tried to draw her face on my phone because she was beautiful. Second time I saw her she came to me and asked me about a tattoo. We talked all the way to my stop and I even showed her the drawing. At the end of the ride I asked for her number and she gave it to me. Later I txt her so she can have my number. Fast forward two days, I txt her again but she didn't respond for a couple of hours. She then txt back saying sorry she didn't respond but she was with her boyfriend's parents. I told her then that sorry because I should have asked if she had a boyfriend and that I just wanted to get to know her and maybe ask her out. Then I ask her if even knowing that if she still wanted to talk. She then responded sorry she didn't tell me she was in a relationship and yes we can talk because"we are friends". I ask myself how or why, we only spoke once. Obviously we are not friends. I want to know why she gave me her phone when I asked for it and never told me she had a boyfriend.

@josekolo,
Sounds like she's interested, and not especially comitted to the existing boyfriend - if he even exists.

@josekolo,
Alright firstly you must be kinda desperate to be taking relationship advice from a forum website. And I (Somewhat paradoxically) reccomend that you don't take anyone's advice. But, if you were my friend, I would say that either she likes you as a friend and wants to keep in touch, but not get romantic, or she's using the boyfriend thing as a jealousy tactic to bring you closer to her. Either way, I say the best thing is to stay in the friend-zone for now, see how things play out in a couple months

@coolcubed,
Would you prefer asking a few friends and acquaintences who you know are going to gossip about you and your affairs?

@roger,
Fair enough point, but I doubt some of the trolls of able2know will be able to provide great advice. It would probably turn from giving relationship advice to a heated religious debate.

@coolcubed,
You are probably right about that, but if you look closely you will usually find serious, and even useful advice hidden away in all the chatter.

Personally, I think my opinion was as good as yours. Well, if I hadn't thought so, I wouldn't have offered it.

@coolcubed,
Nah, we're much cooler than that and the trolls mostly stay away from relationship threads because they, as a group and individually, haven't any experience dealing with actual people.

I think this girl liked what she saw. She thought he was attractive, obviously knew something about tattoos and might be someone interesting to know.
(Not every male/female relationship has to end up in a When Harry met Sally moment. )

I'm going to stop talking now.

I'm with Joe Nation on this one - he's got experience with trains :-)
Listen, I also think she's interested in you, she might be in a transitional
relationship with her boyfriend and wanted to test the field and see, if you
are also interested. Why not be her friend for a while and she how it progresses, what is there to lose?

Who the hell is coolcubed? Never read him/her at a2k but is eager to judge everyone - not so cool, but maybe cubed in.
