I received the wrong medicine from a CVS pharmacy. As a result all my skin from the affected area is burn. What can I do?. I'm starting a new treatment to cure the original condition(dermatitis) and to repair all my damage skin. Please advise.
@Marflor3,
Did you check what they gave you at CVS before you left?
@jespah,
Yes, they gave me a cream. Since the doctor send me a cream for skin condition and the wrong cream is also for skin condition i didn't read for what type of it.
@Marflor3,
Is it possible neither you or the pharmacist could read the doc's writing? Doctors on the whole have terrible hand writing... This has been a common cause for wrong medicines given to patients.
@Ceili,
The pharmacist fail to call the dc to make sure about the medicine name. Since the one the she prescribe me is commonly abbreviated. Pharmacist gave me whatever he or she thought was the one with the same following order of the doctor.
@Marflor3,
You're just as much at fault as the pharmacists: you did not read the label,
you just used what was given to you. If you're thinking of litigation, think
again!
