Is there a way to stop Gmail from inserting my name in e-mails that I send?

@gollum,
Are you looking to send mail anonymously? Or is this a style thing.

@gollum,
I don't think gmail will do this for you, unless you start a new gmail account with a pseudonym. There are several websites that will send anonymous email for you (the only downside being that it won't be in your sent folder).

Search for anonymous email.

@gollum,
Email something via an anonymous email server like:

But please read the disclaimer:

@tsarstepan,
Is it legal to send an anonymous All Employee e-mail to a large organization offering a criticism of management policy?

@gollum,
Whether its legal or not, its highly unwise. If you're thinking a whistleblower level email then expect that this corporation will send its network security and legal depatment to try and discover the IP address and identity of the email writer. Tread lightly I say.

Maybe dropping an email to the local newspaper might be a thing to think about. That's if what you got is newsworthy and not just a personal rant against a deemed unfair but not illegal business practice.

@gollum,
They would probably be able to sue you for damaging their business, especially if you are an employee.
