I've taken a very long and hard road to get where I am today to understand myself and others, but I have no one to talk to about this. Where can I go on the web to talk about very different ideas I have about emotions?

You make an significant claim! Other than varieties of psychoanalysis, there are many "self knowledge" movements which have associated chat rooms. Try googling "Krishnamurti" or "Gurdjieff" for example, but note that there are many others which can suck the unwary into a cult operation.
