Canada Dry is a form of soft drink known as ginger ale. Canada Dry is generally considered to be the best ginger ale available in North America, and as such, is the "gold standard" of that drink. The Canada Dry company also makes several other products. Among these are "mixers," which is to say soft drinks used in mixing alcoholic drinks, such as club soda, tonic water, etc. This makes the brand very successful, and very lucrative for the Dr. Pepper company of Texas, which bought the company a few years ago.

"Dry" means thati t is not sweet, as so many soft drinks are.
