I reluctantly conclude that Oristar probably learns more about English in the disagreements around OSD's posts than in a straightforward answer to his original question.

As a side note, apparantly Ye Olde Shoppe, is pronounced The Old Shop. The Y, is not a Y but an Anglo-Saxon Thorn, pronounced th. See picture below, sorry it's a bit hippy.
