Instead of asking here, I think your best bet is to ask the doctor you saw in order to get the shot. I would imagine the only concern is if you became pregnant during that interval. Here is what I found at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center web site.

Quote:
8. If a patient gets pregnant while receiving DepoProvera‚, what could happen to the baby?
Pregnancy within the 1-2 months after injection may result in:
*impaired fetal growth as evidenced by low birth weights
*increase risk of neonatal death - very unlikely

Drug administered during the 1st 4 months of pregnancy, potential adverse effects on the fetus include:
*masculinization of female fetus
*clitoral hypertrophy and fusion of the labia
*hypospadias in male neonates
*suggested that there is an association between intrauterine
exposure to sex hormones and congenital abnormalities - cardio and limb effects

the depo-provera shot is effective immediately. It sounds like you got the birth control shot, which is effective after a couple weeks.

Next time, when in doubt, use a rubber.

Shymonkey--

Give the fertility situation six months to a year before you worry deeply.

April...May...June--I'm not surprised your not pregnant yet and I bet your OB/GYN isn't either.
