@Moment-in-Time,
No, it couldn't be that the Jews want all the land in the area. You are straining to denigrate the Jews and Israel. What is new?

Native Palestinians are not free to live wherever they want in Palestine.

Jews seeking to live in the West Bank seek to clear of indigenous Palestinians the areas where they want to live and have the backing of the state of Israel and its military force. These actions, of course, have incited murderous reaction.

As you know, there is no country called Palestine. Thus, Jews should be free to live in the territory outside of Israel. Any who try risk being murdered. But 1.7 million Muslim Israelis can live in Israel as equal citizens.

They're hardly equal, they're not even second class. First you've got the Western European/American Ashkenazic Jews, second come the Russians, third it's darker skinned Ashkenazic Jews, fourth come the Sephardic Jews and in fifth place are the Israeli Arabs.

It's apartheid in all but name, and that's not including the Palestinians.

Quote:
About 20% of Israel's population are of Arab-Palestinian descent. They routinely complain that they are treated like second-class citizens.

That does not negate the fact that the indigenous Palestinians are not free to live anywhere in Palestine.

The indigenous Palestinians should be free to live in the territory within what the world, through the UN, has called Palestine.

They are not equal citizens in Israel. Israel is a state "for the Jews," and as such, the Palestinian population therein suffer from systematic discrimination as acknowledged by the state of Israel's own Orr Commission.

It isn't BS that the indigenous Palestinians are not free to live anywhere in Palestine.

If the Jews should be free to live in the territory outside of Israel, why shouldn't the indigenous Palestinians be free to live anywhere in Palestine?

It isn't BS that the Palestinian population in Israel is systematically discriminated against as reported by Israel's Or Commission.

The same way that Advocate does, only get your information from slavishly pro-Israel media outlets, and ignore anythjing that portrays Israel as less than perfect.

For Advocate, truth is a very malleable concept.

As you know, Israel is a nation that can and will control its immigrants. The WB and Gaza is not a nation that can legally claim certain borders.

But you already knew this.

For one, religious and minority rights in Palestine are stipulated in UN Resolution 181. The Right of Return for the war refugees in Palestine is written in UN Resolution 194, and is reiterated in UN Resolution 242.

@Moment-in-Time,
The resolutions are one-sided jokes. The Muslim countries pack a lot of weight with their oil and other wealth, not to mention the enormous size area and population wise.

You don't mention the resolutions ignored by the Pals.

True, Arabs have oil and collectively at the UN they are heard; however, the Veto vote of the US drowns out the Muslim voices..... this is why the UN resolutions remaining on the record but having little impact on existing conditions. When the US was hit on 9/11 the Israeli settlers applauded ecstatically..... they were enraptured seeing the tragedy which lost close to 3000 souls. In the minds of the Israeli settlers, the US did not go far enough in helping them steal more and more land from the Palestinians and they should have been punished. Many in the Arab community were in seventh heaven also but for different reasons. The Arab community to a man blame the US for its bias/unbalanced policies with respect to the Israeli vs Palestinian conflict. The US is a hypocrite....consistently spouting democracy and fair play, while turning a deaf ear to the apartheid conditions in the West Bank! I can very well understand the Muslims delight in seeing their perceived enemy, the US hit with such a tragedy, but for the love of me I cannot understand the fanatical Israeli settlers who could not build and continue building without monies from the US taxpayer. It is difficult to explain to you how strongly I feel against these religious nutcases who use their Faith to help them in their thieving ways, screaming "Don't you see, God gave us this land!"

Advocate wrote:

The Palestinians do not possess an army. They do not have a powerful nation like the US defending them, taking their side against the aggressively land stealing Israel. The Palestinians' crimes are not considered as grievously by the international community as those belonging to the Israelis. For every Israeli killed one can say 20 or more Palestinians are killed. Palestinians do not own tanks that will roll over Israelis (remember Rachel Corrie?) The Israelis are stealing Palestinian land and when the IdF enter en masse they often steal Palestinian money, which was reported in a documentary I saw recently. So, my fellow poster, Advocate, what do you expect Palestinians to do, throw a party and bake a cake for their enemy, the IDF/Israeli government?!
