After the SC declares the health bill unconstitutional they can start on soc. sec. and medicare so all the old fools who have been pushing this can learn what health care is all about. When they have to pay their own bills their will be a lot of screaming going on.
Any one with a job, and anyone who stayed out of the way of anyone with a job has earned their social security and medicare... Problem one is, you can't do anything good for people against their will; and No one wanted to give the impression of democracy enough to let the people decide... It was not really much at all, and mostly what the health bill was about was the illusion that some one cared enough to do anything... Public health is a public problem, and if infrastructure is not expensive enough, consider what the cost might be if every person had to contract and pay for the road outside his house, or his sewer, or his water... A single payer system was what was needed and most intelligent... The system as it stands is not just an outrage that does not deliver at great expense...It also endangers every one of us in the event of some great pandemic... You see what they did with aids... It became a political football until it began to endanger the rich as well as the poor, and then it never recieved a fraction of money the problem deserved... Our healthcare is a shame...
